Spellboundish

Spellboundish is a quirky, gentle podcast about mental health. exploring stigma, the so-called taboo subjects, and the stuff we don’t always find easy to talk about.
Part mental-health podcast, part audio magazine, each episode brings a mix of thoughtful musings, poetry, stories, relaxing music, cookery, and the occasional trip Back to Beyond.
You’ll find regular features including Mog’s Musings, Poetic Licence, The Chill Out Zone, and the ever-reliable So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish. Plus occasional surprises inspired by listener and podcast host ideas.
Most importantly, Spellboundish aims to be a calm, welcoming and safe little corner of the world. Somewhere to tune in, switch off, have a think, and hopefully feel a little less alone.
Come for the curiosity. Stay for the quirkiness.

This episode is another wonderful blend of raw honesty and self-deprecating Cornish wit, as well as all the usual features...
Mogs musings, aka the editorial, I muse gently about my getting another bowel cancer screening kit among other things.
The final part of 1984 and beyond, the audio chapter from the book Spellboundish.
Also the now regular feature of, with a little help from my friends, concerning coping strategies.
Plus, for the hopeful delight of your ears, there are two new features this ep.
One being, Tales from the riverbank, the debut of a potential gem of an item concerning angling, a lovely way to relax and de-stress.
The other, which will be a roll over type feature, episide to episide is about home baking, wittingly entitled The bakers dozen.
There is also another brief dip into the podcasts canine newshound, yes Buster's bits returns.
Lastly, the closing episode statement now firmly entitled the last lap.
This episide is once more voiced entirely by ai... enjoy again not having to listen to my voice 😆

Episode 10 of the Spellboundish podcast, entitled “Izzy Whizzy, Lets Get Busy…”, it marks a significant milestone for me.
This episode is a reflective, candid, and emotionally charged installment where I open up about the podcast’s history, personal struggles, coping mechanisms, and future plans. The episode consists of an editorial section (“Mogs musings”), a poem, a discussion on coping strategies (“With a little help from my friends”), and a closing epilogue. May you enjoy.

This podcast episode represents a soft reset and reorganization of the series. After nine episodes I'm striving to provide a clearer structure and transparency about the content in each episode, aiming for an improved listener experience.
Spellboundish's tone is always optimistic, reflective and personal, blending editorial musings, storytelling, listener interaction and serialised content.
Enjoy.
